Snow day caravan
We just had a blizzard. (In February? In Minnesota?! What??! That’s unheard of…) We’d just bought a proper skijoring harness and Jared was eager to try out this caravan: Heidi hiking in the front, Jared skiing in the middle, and Charlotte just taking it all in in the back.
I am a video producer by trade, but don'’t spend that much time actually handling cameras. The last time I picked up this camera (a Panasonic Lumix GH5) was more than a year ago at the John Beargrease Dogsled Marathon. And there is a reason none of that footage was ever shown. Anyway, I felt this was a marked improvement even though there is still a lot more room to grow!
Enjoy our little outing.
It was too bad the climax sequence of the caravan zooming down the slope was so out-of-focus — we would have loved to have shared Charlotte’s squinting face as snow flew up into it — but didn’t have the heart to omit the scene overall.
We sled every day with Charlotte (most days down this same hill) and attribute it to her great core strength. In other words, we don’t necessarily endorse trying this with any old 20-month-old.
